I could be considered your average small town midwestern girl (although I have to admit I'm not exactly a young girl anymore). I enjoy spending time with my husband, my kids, and grandkids who are growing up way too quickly. My friends from high school and college have all pretty much left this area and I became a bit of a turtle. After work and on weekends I may not venture out of my house unless I have to do so. I spend a lot of time working at home by myself on various crafting projects and don't go out much. To combat this, a good friend talked me into having "craft days" at my house where we can all get together to take time to catch up on what is going on in everyone's lives, watch movies, eat good food, and craft together. If we need help, everyone is sure to have a useful suggestion or opinion. If you want to try something new, they are willing to either teach you or go learn with you. I really like spending time with my friends this way.

I also enjoy visiting new places and love checking out tourist traps like museums, aquariums, amusement parks, etc., even though I have not had the opportunity to travel much. I plan to do more of this in the future. Where will I go? East, west, north, south ... too many places...too little time.
